Canning Tomatoes

The summer temperatures have been really odd this year. Almost all of June it was rather cool and even into the beginning of July we had a few days where it reached only 80 with much overcast. But suddenly it July turned up the heat and my tomato started to mature all at once. I had about 30 lbs of tomatoes that I had to figure out what to do with. So I decided to can some into salsa, freeze some into marinara sauce and i still have some left that i will eat tonight with stuffed zucchini.
