It is raining outside... very cold for California. With a high of 54 today... i fear that some of my plants will not survive the winter. My artichokes are looking good- they have grown quite a bit... they do need about 55 hours of chill.. which I am sure they will have gotten by the time the week is over. The blueberry of course should also come back. I have difficulties with plants that loose their leaves- not knowing if they are a live or not... Hopefully my peas can survive as well as the garlic and onions. In my greenhouse right now I have growing a patty pan squash and hopefully the greenhouse stays warm enough for the plant. It has been warm in there but with no sun - it looks like it has slowed down on it's growth. I planted tomatoes and other squash plants... hopefully they will make it through in the greenhouse.
I have started my art journal again as well. And I will try to make it to the gym today... I have to pay and carry all my things in the rain... so I may just do the stairs here in the building for about 30 minutes. that is a good workout... I had walked the dogs last week almost every day.. i think we missed one because of the rain. And then over the weekend we didn't get to walk. Hopefully it clears for tonight so Brian can take them for a walk.
I am contemplating signing up for wood shop again... i didn't go much last week however I did get my drawers almost done for the kitchen. I think if I just start with one project at a time. I think the first one I need to do is a cookbook holder. I hate that the books get messy and that there is no place for them to stand. I have lots of ideas... just so little time in the shop. eventually I suppose we will add pieces to our own wood shop to do projects at my leisure. I have fixed up my room as well - yesterday I worked on finishing decoupaging the old tool chest and then also made some window clings and started to work on a collage. I will post pics as soon as I get them. I need to remember to take pictures as well.
Thanks and Happy New Year!!!
